Presentation Overview: The Project SEARCH Transition-to-Work Program is a unique, business-led, one-year employment preparation program that takes place entirely at the workplace. Total workplace immersion facilitates a seamless combination of classroom instruction, career exploration, and hands-on training through worksite rotations. The program culminates in individualized job development. My presentation will review the Project SEARCH program at Westfield including how we built the program and the overall impacts it has had on our environment. The program has impacted our business in four main areas: Diversity and Inclusion, Employee engagement, Marketing and PR, and Community Investment. We will explore each of these areas to show how this “feel good” program nets real business impacts.
